Join a team without pasting a directory URL and secret #538
A teammate joins the team's directory by pasting its URL and ACE_SECRET into Settings → Team → Join…. Whoever set the team up has to send both strings privately, by hand. Nothing finds the directory and there's no link, so this handoff is the weakest step in onboarding.
apps/app/src/directory-settings.tsx: the only join UI is a URL field and a secret field.
apps/desktop registers no URL scheme, and nothing generates a link to join.
The "Set up a directory" link in the join form goes to the deploy docs, which don't help someone who was only told to join.
Join should take one thing a teammate can receive and paste or click, and Settings should be able to produce it for whoever is already joined. Whatever form it takes, it carries the team's credential, so its terms must say what it exposes (see #511).
Done in #561 and #563. Settings → Team → Invite… copies one link (https://ace.githubnext.com/join#directory=…&secret=…) that opens Join your team filled in; the secret stays in the fragment. A teammate on the tailnet can also ask a member's host to join, and the owner approves it, so nothing is pasted. Untested on two real Macs: peer discovery for the ask.
