Automate work for your team with shared Copilot automations [GA] #1358
With shared Copilot automations, your team can collaboratively build automations that work for everyone in your repository. Instead of each developer creating their own personal automations, your team can define shared workflows—like standardized standup updates or common code reviews—that Copilot executes consistently across the team. AI credit usage is billed to your repository, and the automation runs as the "Copilot" identity, keeping your workflows team-owned rather than individual-dependent.
Expected Outcome
We're enabling teams to automate repetitive tasks and common workflows across the entire SDLC, allowing your team to focus on high-impact work. By making automations shareable and centrally managed, teams can scale automation practices across the repository and deliver completed work more quickly without the overhead of each person maintaining their own automations.
