Reasons for making this change
Minted 3 writes
_<jobname MD5>.errlog.mintedwhen its Python helper encounters an unexpected error. The file is generated diagnostic output, and minted deliberately retains it during end-of-compilation cleanup. The existing
_minted*,*.data.minted,*.pyg, and*.logpatterns do not match this filename. Add*.errlog.mintedto the existing minted section inTeX.gitignoreso these logs are ignored in any TeX project using minted.Links to documentation supporting these rule changes
MintedErrlogFilenamedefinition describes the generated log and its filename.Validation: checked 14 paths using
git check-ignore --no-index -vin an isolated repository before and after the change. Error logs at the root and in a subdirectory are now ignored; existing cache/data/log rules still match, and.tex,.bib,.sty, Python source, and.latexminted_configfiles remain unignored.git diff --checkpasses.Merge and Approval Steps
